This evening, Laura and I decided to walk the Petrie ParkRun route down by the river. The 5km out-and-back route, is possibly one of my favourite places to walk. There is something about the light as the sun sets behind the tree-lined pathways.
We walked briskly, passing lots of other people on the path. There is something quite raw about showing someone else the places you enjoy walking. For me, it’s kind of like telling them that this is where you will find me when I’m at war with my thoughts.
Tonight I’ll say goodbye to my friend, my left arm for the past three years. Laura, I don’t know what the future holds, I don’t know when I’ll see you again but thank you.
Thank you for visiting, thank you for always picking me up when I stumbled and fell, thank you for making me laugh (sometimes at you and sometimes with you!), thank you for just being someone I could always rely on. I’m going to miss you.
