Dia Doscientos Cuarenta // Day Two Hundred & Forty

26.08.2016 Friday

Finished the week that was with a walk down by the river. One thing I have missed considerably is my daily walk. Without fail, I would go for a walk around Hitchin or into the town, not for any specific reason other than to just enjoy the action of walking. Where I live in Australia, walking is not really a form of transport. Almost everyone owns a car and normally has to drive to the local shops or other amenities, as housing is centred around sprawling suburbs and not local towns or village squares as I have become accustomed to in England. I don’t like to be dependent on my car so I try to go for a walk whenever I can, mind you we are rapidly approaching magpie season – I’m sure I will dedicate a future blog post to the harrowing magpie encounters I am sure will occur.
