On our second last night in New York we decided to pay a visit to the Yankee Stadium; crossing over into another of the state’s five boroughs – The Bronx, en route. However, we didn’t go to the Yankee Stadium to watch a baseball game, we went to watch a Major League Soccer match between New York City FC and Real Salt Lake. The match was pretty entertaining and aside from admiring the stadium’s sheer size and atmosphere, the best part was definitely trying to make it on the big screen during breaks in the play. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a football fan but getting on the Yankee Stadium big screen is a once of a lifetime opportunity. Unfortunately, New York City FC ended up losing 3-1 but nevertheless it was a great experience and I’m hoping I can visit again only next time to watch a baseball game.
