I was very productive today. I even went out of my way to take this photo of the Digswell (or Welwyn) Viaduct – named, depending on which side of the river you are on. I have been wanting to take this photo for a while, unfortunately today’s effort doesn’t really do the viaduct justice. The viaduct was officially opened in 1854, comprising of 40 arches, standing at 100 feet tall and carrying the East Coast Railway Line over the River Mimram. Today, it still serves the railway line and is a really impressive landmark in the area.
