You may know that I do not really like to sit still. Tonight, I write this after having walked for two and a half hours and ending up in Letchworth. Letchworth isn’t given enough credibility in my opinion. The land around what is currently known as ‘The Broadway’ was intended to be a Quaker farming community, however times change and Letchworth became the location of the world’s first ‘garden city’ and home to the UK’s first roundabout (with its most recent cameo appearance in the film The World’s End released in 2013). I think facts like this are interesting and give character to places people so often dismiss. A Sunday night walk can never be a bad thing and was most definitely needed tonight.
